Hi. Yeah. This is kind of like a year’s end video, I guess you could call it. This has been a very interesting year. I ended up directing a movie for the first time. Didn’t expect to do that. The first film that got screened ended up being something I made just on the fly almost as part of a filmmaking challenge. So all of that was very interesting.
And so I’m ending the year thinking about things that I can do differently next year and hopefully do better. And I do want to say that this is a really great book, Tiny Experiments. One of the suggestions in this book is to write down a thing or things that you would like to do, that you would just like to … Things you identify as things that you really would like to pursue, that you may not have actively pursued before, but that you aspire perhaps to do.
And I wrote down a few here. I would like to draw a couple of times a week, at least twice a week, draw something. I would like to play the piano a couple of times a week. I would like to take two sessions from two of my classes, two specific classes that I have purchased and still have not finished the lessons. That tells you something about our tendency to buy things sometimes and then ignore them. My tendency, anyway. It’s not a good tendency. Don’t do it.
So anyway, so that’s part of my slow learning process there to try to take what I have already and use what I have and go with it. And so they’re part of my tiny experiments. And perhaps you have something that you would like to accomplish in a similar way through just identifying the thing and then saying, “I’ll do this once a week. This is all I can manage.” If that’s all you can manage, that’s what you do. If that means sitting down and writing for half an hour once a week, if that’s the way you best work, that’s what you do. So any sort of project can be done in small amounts.
I take movies and break them up into smaller pieces and you can watch a movie as you would a miniseries, so to speak. Anyway, enough of that. I just hope everybody has a wonderful new year. Here’s to 2026 and what a year, huh? We’ll make it through the next one and the next. And hopefully things will get better. Take care and be seeing you.
PS: Have I mentioned that this box set is available at a discounted price until Jan. 2?
Or that this box set is also available at a discount until the end of this month?

There, I said it. 🙂
BTW, you can get a copy of Tiny Experiments from my online store and support indie bookstores when you do so.
