Hi, today I’m reviewing The Stranger by Albert Camus.
If you haven’t read this book, read it. It’s a fantastic book. I read this back in high school and back then it’s kind of like, “Oh yeah, this is a really cool book, because it’s Albert Camus!” I guess it’s Al-bert. Is it Al-Bair? I don’t know.
But so I mean, but I read it in high school and I was kinda depressed by the ending. Obviously, for those of you who have read it, but I also was somewhat intrigued just by the book in general, but I really couldn’t put my finger on why and having read this now for the first time in like ages recently, I can now put my finger on why.
I mean he captures small details of life with this character in a way that … is just so unique and interesting. And I mean, the character himself, of course. I could talk at length about the character himself if I were doing that kind of thing. But I’m not. I will only say that he is a peculiar character, a very detached character who looks at life in a very unemotional way, but goes through kind of a discovery process throughout this story. And that’s what makes it so fantastic.

Yes, I literally stopped the video right there, cause I was going to bust out crying. Seriously. That’s the kind of effect this book had on me, so that’s why I recommend it. So yes. With that, I will just say, read The Stranger by Albert Camus. Well, at least I didn’t call him Albert Caymus, huh?
‘Til Next time.
