Hello. Well, in my eternal quest to have a clean and organized office, I’ve turned up some things from my bookshelf that I have not looked at in ages.
One of them is this book, Artpreneur: The Step-by-Step Guide to Making a Sustainable Living From Your Creativity by Miriam Schulman.
This is a really good book. I’m glad I happened to notice this, as I was going through my bookshelf and just looking at what books I actually still use. Another one that I found that I haven’t looked at in a while is this, A Crowdfunder’s Strategy Guide: Build a Better Business by Building Community by Jamey Stegmaier.
This looks just like something I really have to read. And of course, there’s always this book, which I think is just excellent, Your Money or Your Life. Honestly, these books are… Everybody should be reading them. If you’re doing any kind of creative work, you should be reading books like this and incorporating the advice into your life. And that can be hard to do when you’re used to doing things a certain way and thinking a certain way. And I think writers need to start thinking outside the box a little bit more in terms of how they’re making a living.
But I mean, a lot of them are. A lot of writers are at this point thinking very much outside the box and good for them. But you have to understand there’s a certain amount of work associated with any sort of endeavor like they talk about in these books, a crowdfunding campaign or creating a community, a community that you can turn to for assistance or things like that. So having said that, I just think these books are particularly good that I’ve read lately and I will leave it at that. So thanks for watching. Thanks for listening and I will talk to you later.
