How to Figure Out Your Why

Hi, everyone! In a previous video, I had spoken about finding out why you do what you do and its importance in determining your life’s goals, things like that.

So let me talk about how I reached my why, my own why. And basically what I did is I just started brainstorming. For me, brainstorming involves just writing things down on paper, because I like working things out on paper or with my hands in some way, because I think it just helps to have something tactile. Okay. Having said that I started listing out my interests, just the things that interest me most. And then I started to think about why I was interested in them. And that’s how I really ultimately reached my own why. You can reach your own why, too. If you’re having trouble with it, try brainstorming the way I did. And just think about why you’re interested in those things.

Why are you interested in those things? And when you brainstorm, don’t limit yourself. Put down truly what your true interests are and really focus on them and think about why them in particular. And the more particular you get … Well, that comes later, but just figure out why first. Get to the why first and that’ll really help you out.

And I’ll just end with three truths that I would like to share with you.

  • We are all scared to fail;
  • We all need love;
  • And we’re all in this together.

That’s it. I’ll talk to you later.
