More Thoughts About Seth Godin’s Blog

The following are thoughts about a series of Seth Godin’s blog posts.

About “Lucky charms”

Fuck luck. Just dig in and do the work.

Here’s a link to the source.

About “Superfamous”

Funny. I remember when being famous was enough.

Be careful what you wish for.

Favorite excerpt: “Back when the New York Times bestseller list mattered” Ha ha!

Over and out! Until next time, be seeing you! 🙂

About “When they ask you to lead, will you be ready?”

This is an ad a pitch a sales page the end of a long lead magnet for one of the Seth’s courses. And another course given by someone else.

Did you know that a lead magnet could be serialized? You do now.

PS: Don’t bother to sign up for either one. The deadlines will have passed before I get around to posting this.

Here’s a link to the source.

PPS: Turns out the URL and the headline don’t have to match. Not on Seth’s blog. That should tell you something. Seth isn’t depending on algorithms and/or SEO to succeed.

What could it be? How does he do it? Think hard about that. I know I will.

About “Tools for modern citizens”

Now that the future is here, we need to understand a wide range of subjects to at least some extent, in order to improve what lies ahead. If you fail to do this, you risk being victimized. It is possible to learn new skills and teach them to others.

I think that covers it. As to the specific skills that, according to Seth, “Everyone around us needs to know about”, I agree to an extent, but wonder how much we need to know. I mean, I know about statistics, but I’m not a statistician.

I believe every writer should know at least a minimal amount of HTML coding. But I don’t expect them to create blockchains. (If that’s the right way to say it.)

About “Crowding the pan”

Know your goals and limitations well enough to be able to judge when enough is enough.

About “In it together”

The world would work a lot better if we all learned to get along.

The post was actually a whole lot longer, because it was, in effect, a sales pitch an inspirational lead-in to a call to action at the end.

And, yes, it is amazing what people will monitor, collect, and catalog, Seth.

Here’s a link the source.

PLUS A BONUS!

How to say no.
