Here are some more thoughts I had as I read Seth Godin’s blog. Just random thoughts/musings/ponderings.
About “Seeing the continuum”
Success isn’t achieving what other people want. It’s about deciding what you want and doing the hard work it takes to achieve it.
Everyone has a purpose. Find yours and act accordingly.

About “First come, first served”
“First come, first served” is an easy way to pick winners of contests and give away other things of value.
It doesn’t necessarily make sense on the Internet, where responses are time-shifted, allowing asynchronous transactions.
But it’s the easiest one to automate. And we get to pay the consequences of that.

PS: Seth, who told you life was fair? 🙂 And who isn’t lazy?
About “Predictability”
“Principles truly matter in the moments when it’s really difficult to stick with them.”
I couldn’t have said it better.

About “When did you decide?”
Every habit involves a decision. You can change your decisions and, if you do it enough times, you’ll develop a new habit.
Rinse and repeat.

About “The two mistakes around competition”
Never assume, because when you assume, you make an ass of u and me.

About “Tasks or initiatives?”
There will always be people willing to do tasks, i.e., boring but necessary work, and then there are people who are willing to take the initiative when it comes to life and engage in bolder forms of commerce.
Figure out who you are and act accordingly.
PS: Seth, your Yahoo reference actually made me laugh out loud. Really!

PS: The best short speech about focus I’ve seen lately. “Focus is about saying no.”
