Hey, so I’m engaging in a new habit. I have this book. I’ve had it for some time. I’ve read through it. I have tried to follow some of its advice. And actually, what I thought I would do is be a little more deliberate in my use of this book. What I’m going to try to do is use one of these tips every single day and see how it works out, how much progress I make. And actually, I have to admit the very first task he has in here, not task, but item, I guess. I don’t know.

Decluttering. Decluttering has been a huge problem for me. I have a tendency to keep old articles that I think would be great sources of potential ideas for stories. I have a tendency to keep old research and old drafts. I keep things in the interest of showing my work, so to speak.
I mean, proving the fact that I actually did all this stuff to somebody, maybe. I don’t know. I don’t know if it would ever become necessary. That’s weird. Maybe. I don’t know. Maybe it’s my librarian instinct. But anyway, one thing I’ve come to realize is that I need more binders and I need to use them better and I need to sit up straight. There we go. I think I’m straight. Okay. That was it then.
I have actually gotten some benefit out of the first item here, decluttering. Do it in small chunks. Just 15 minutes, at least. Well, the 15 minutes I allocated turned into more like 20. After I had done some looking into things that needed decluttering and I did come up actually kind of devise a system in my head for where to put things as I was dealing with that.
So I actually did get a win out of this 15 minutes that turned into 20 or 30 or whatever. So yay, I’m celebrating. Woo! (jazz hands)

All right. Talk to you later. Be seeing you.
