Setting and Meeting New Goals

Hey, happy new year, everybody. It’s less than a week old, so I guess it’s still okay to say that.

I’m going to start off by saying that from here on out, I am examining all of my expenses and all of my income as I go, and I’m trying to set quarterly goals and work toward them. And I hope to share some of that process with you as part of what I’m doing, because something has to change. And one of the things that’s going to change is that I’m not going to immediately start off my day by reading email. God, I just realized how bad a habit that is for me. In any case, I’ll check it over quickly for emergencies, but that’s it. I have to pull myself away from it. You know what I mean? So anyway, setting aside time to do the things I have to do is what’s important here and writing comes first.

So all day I’ve been working on this screenplay, and believe me, if you want to make money at writing, don’t go into screenplay writing. Unless you have a plan involving people with money or hope to develop one. Anyway, having said that, let me just say again, happy new year, and I will talk to you later.
