How to Make a Delicious and Easy Blueberry Crisp

I think between the pandemic and my general desire to stay offline as much as possible during the weekend, I seem to have taken up baking! It’s been a long, long time since I ventured into a kitchen to attempt such a feat. But I was determined to do this, dystonia or not! And I’d had my eye on this simple-looking blueberry crisp recipe.

So, a few weeks ago, I finally decided to take my life in my hand and a half the leap and go for it!

My first attempt was to make a portion of this recipe. Then, I realized I should probably use a smaller pan than I had. But I kind of worked around that.

Slightly messy, but …
Totally edible! 🙂

Well, having done that, I decided I’d make the whole recipe the next time.

The first step is to preheat the oven. In this case, you should set the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

Then, place the blueberries into an 8 inch square baking dish. In a medium bowl, stir together the flour, sugar, and cinnamon. Stir in the mayonnaise until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Like so …

Sprinkle over the top of the berries.

Bake for 35 to 40 minutes in the preheated oven, until the top is lightly browned.

And here’s the whole recipe from AllRecipes.

Here’s a list of the ingredients. Check the link for a printed version, nutritional info, and so on.

4 cups fresh blueberries
1 cup all-purpose flour
3⁄4 cup white sugar
1⁄2 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1⁄2 cup mayonnaise

And it doesn’t take all day, either! 🙂
