My fondest memories of 2012 were when we finally got to go to Ireland and the UK. The trip started off here.
Well, yeah, technically it did. That was the Atlanta (I think) airport where Tony (I think) the piano player sang me, “Happy Birthday”. As you can see, my memory is as sharp as a tack!
Now these are photos of Dublin. When we first got to Ireland, I was semi-flummoxed by the whole “driving on the left side” thing. I knew they did, but knowing and being there on the left side of the road whilst in a moving vehicle are two different things.
Oh, and here’s a really cool pub across from where we stayed. The waiter talked endlessly about crime fiction after I brought up the subject. One thing I loved about Ireland and the UK was the sheer endless enthusiasm for books.
And here I am standing before our hotel. Only a bit jetlagged and woozy from the weird cocktail of pain medications I was on.
Oh, and here’s a bookstore. We didn’t get to go inside. Darn.
We caught one of those tour buses and saw a few sites in Dublin town.
We also found this really cool park with a fountain.
Here’s my husband and I. He’s snapping the photo, I’m staring off into space.

I also got to meet the awesome writer, Caren Kennedy, who I’d only known from tweeting and blogging.

And I got to sign my first novel, Identity Crisis, for her.
So, that was my first overseas book signing! Isn’t the Internet awesome?
Next stop on the Magical Mystery Tour — Glasgow! 🙂
