Things to Do in Boulder, Colorado

There are so many things to do in Boulder, Colorado. As you’ll see, taking photos of awesome landscape is one of them.

For instance, here’s a photo I took of the Flatirons, while we had our morning cappuccino at Peet’s Coffee.

Every day in Boulder, we started off with a cappuccino at this Peet’s with this view!

Un cappuccino di Peet’s! 🙂

We were in Boulder to visit my brother, sister-in-law, and their daughter, which was awesome! We took a ride into the mountains near Boulder. Fantastic landscape! 🙂

Look at that view!
My husband and brother — namaste! 🙂

Incidentally, my great-grandfather Mack actually wrote the song that inspired the famous song “Heart of My Heart”. Here’s the copy my brother owns.

“The Story of the Rose” by Andrew Mack

And here’s the song!

Along with taking in the beautiful countryside (and there was more to see), we also stopped in at a treatment center, because I wanted to try legal cannabis for my dystonia. It was quite an experience walking into a facility like that, which had a guard at the entrance, who took your ID and gave it to someone in the other room, which you could only enter after you verified your age, etc. It was the only time I’ve not been afraid to talk about pot with a cop around! 🙂

Anyway, of course, being a Maryland Terrapin (an alum of the University of Maryland, that is), we had to go to this dispensary.

A Grateful Dead reference? 🙂

And this was our “budtender”, who was very knowledgeable about what kind of edible would be most appropriate for someone like me, who is not a frequent smoker — or really a smoker, at all! 🙂

In addition, we visited NCAR: the National Center for Atmospheric Research.

They had some really cool exhibits there, including these:

Pretty cool, huh? But check this out! This is where Woody Allen filmed part of Sleeper! 🙂

Actual exhibit!

And, of course, more cappuccino! 🙂

But then, we hit the road again …!

On the road.

And found this really cool chalet/mansion in the midst of nowhere …

Interesting house.

We also saw many of these!

One elk.
Herd of elk! 🙂

I nearly forgot about the really awesome record store we found. Bart’s Record Shop! 🙂

Finally, my brother’s cat, Inigo Montoya.

Hello, my name is Inigo Montoya! 🙂

Plus the world’s most relaxed cat! 🙂

Hello, kitty! 🙂

Great to see you getting out with dystonia and walking miles!! Did the cannabis help at all with the pain and twisting in your foot? Well done
