Hi everyone. Well, this weekend turned out to be really nice. Yesterday on Sunday, I attended a 10th anniversary celebration of the CAASM (pronounced Chasm), the Casual Actors and Screenwriters Meet-up group. And they were all the way in Virginia. Oh my God, we had to go all the way across the state line into Virginia. We managed it.
Yeah. Marylanders and Virginia. I don’t know what it is. There’s some kind of weird thing there, but it’s like you go into Virginia, you get lost. Somehow Marylanders always get mixed up.
The roads are always changing or something. At least that’s what it used to be. I don’t do a lot of traveling into Virginia these days, so I don’t know. But anyway, today or yesterday or the day whenever it was, you’re seeing this the day after I make it. So I don’t know, you might be seeing this a week after I made it.
Who knows? Anyway, the point being that I got to go to this wonderful event celebrating the 10th anniversary of the CAASM and people got to see the rough cut of the first movie that I’ve made, which is still in post-production, but it’s very, very close to being finished. Having said that, I will just say I am so happy at the response I got.
I was just floored just to be able to do any of this. It’s just been such a pleasure and a delight. But I was even more delighted to get one of these, a certificate of achievement. Can you read that? Do you not love that?
If you are a crime writer, I mean, aren’t you envious? Don’t you wish you had a certificate of achievement for most literal use of a smoking gun? Yeah, really. And for my next trick in the next movie, I shall employ the ticking clock. Yes, that will be the device used in that one. So having said that, it’s been a great weekend and I’m really glad I decided to become a screenwriter and end up directing a movie of all things and now directing another one eventually. We’re supposed to be shooting in September. So wish us luck on that. And in the meantime, I’ll be seeing you.
