The last part of our Italy trip was spent in Venice, a place that’s notable for its canals and gondolas. We stayed in an old, but lovely hotel where you had to leave your key with the desk before venturing outside.

Much like Sicily, we didn’t spend nearly enough time in Florence. As a result, we missed seeing some of the major museums and touristy attractions.

Rome was a really magical city. It was also a city that was full of traffic. Not to mention small cars and lots of scooters.
The weather was perfect when we were there — sunny every day. Perfect days to go sightseeing.

Our first stop was Sicily, since he had ancestry there on his mother’s side.
