What I’m Reading

06/10/2025 by Debbi

Hi! It’s me. 🙂

Hi everyone. Well, I don’t have a review today, but I just thought I’d let you know that right now we are supposed to get together. I’m supposed to get together with the department heads, the people who handle photography, sound, script supervisor, 1st AD. All these people who I’ll be working with on the film. We’re all supposed to get together and discuss how it’ll work, what they need, all this kind of thing.

So there’s a lot of stuff to do in pre-production still. Hopefully we’ll be shooting this thing July 8th. I think. Hopefully. We’re still looking for a possible church location. Anyway, having said all that, I’m reading this and very interesting book.

Very interesting. There are certain similarities in our upbringings, but I won’t go into that. There are certain differences, too. So anyway, this is also something I’m reading.

American Sky by James Grady. Very good. So far, I’m enjoying it.

That fell, sorry. Sorry to disappear on you. Yeah, I am really looking forward to reading this one.

I love this author, Katy Brent. Yeah. Yeah. I read another one of hers where this protagonist is murdering guys all over the place and it’s a laugh. And it’s a laugh. People are being murdered. I’m laughing.

Anyway, I’ll just end by saying I read this a while ago, a long while ago, and The Torqued Twerked Man, and I got to say, I think it would make a most interesting movie. It would be different, that’s for sure. It would be different. Anyway, that’s it for me, and I’ll be seeing you. Take care.

I’d tell you what I’m reading on my e-reader too, except that really it’s not as much fun and that would just be like reading from a list and, meh, what’s the point, right? I can’t even show off the book to you. Oh, well, whatever. See you.

PS: Watch out for spelling and misunderstandings when using AI transcription. Hmm?

My End of March Update

Hi everyone. Well, I don’t have a book finished yet to review. I will tell you that I’m currently reading this, The Agonies by Ben Faulkner, as well as Equal Rites by Terry Pratchett on my own, because I love Terry Pratchett, The Girl on Greenwich Street by Lauren Willig, and let’s see, what else? Wealth Management, Edward Zuckerman. Really good, all of them. And then finally a personal favorite because I just love Raymond Chandler. Trouble is My Business. I do love that cover, I got to say.

On top of that, I just got back from physical and occupational therapy. I’ve got a script breakdown, an assistant director to find and attach to this project that I’m working on, a couple of scripts I’m supposed to give notes on. What else am I doing? Oh, yes, there’s a kind of TV series that I’m working on, but it’s not really a TV series. It’s a mock writer’s room, and I’m enjoying it immensely, but it does keep me quite busy.

So in any event, I just thought I would give you that update. That’s where I’m at right now, and with any luck, someday everything will work out with physical therapy, and I won’t be quite as complainy about it as I usually am. Complainy, that’s a word, right? Alrighty, that’s it then. Just wanted to check in and say, hi, Be seeing you!

PS: Happy April Fool’s Day! None of this is a prank, BTW. 🙂
