My Latest Book, Generations Later!

Hi. I don’t have a book review today, but I am going to be coming out with a new book. June 6th is now the release date for my latest Erica Jensen novel. The third book in the series, called Past Imperfect, and it’s available for pre-order in various places and I’m getting the final file ready to upload and I’m also getting ready to meet with the department heads for the production of my movie and I’m doing other things too, but I’m also doing this.

And I just wanted to talk a little bit about things I see on YouTube that I never see in the general media. Not much anyway. I don’t think I’ve seen much about this. It seems like it’s on YouTube all over the place. I think the algorithm knows what I’m interested in. I think that’s what’s happened. I happened to click on one video about Generation Jones and next thing I know, I’m getting all these videos about Generation Jones and why you should feel different if you were born between the years 1955 and 1965 or something like that.

About My Interesting Weekend

Hi everyone. Well, let’s see if this works. I’ve already tried three times to make this video. Four times if you count the time on my iPhone. Anyway, I had a great weekend, made it very clear going to one webinar that I don’t want an agent, a literary agent, because their values are completely at odds with mine. At least this one agent.

Having discerned that, I went to another video webinar where we talked about self-care, which was much more helpful than listening to this agent yammer on about algorithms.

Hi. Yeah. It’s been a long time since I’ve actually talked about what I’m doing. Okay. What am I doing these days? I just finished work on the third Erica Jensen mystery, which I hope will come out on May, whenever Memorial Day is. Don’t even know. Yeah, end of May, sometime around then. Around Memorial Day. And what else am I doing? Oh yeah, I’m trying to get a production meeting together for the second film that I’m going to be directing because as you may know, those of you who might actually pay attention to what I’m saying or read what I write, I do screenwriting now and have been doing that for quite a while, it feels like. Actually, it feels like a short time, but it’s been quite a while actually. I shudder to think of how much time has passed while I’ve been doing this because I got to tell you, screenwriting is no easy path to take and has become even less easy with the passage of time and the contraction of the industry.

Where I’m At Now

Hey, hi. How you doing? I guess you could call this a life update. There were auditions this weekend for the short film that I’m making called “Surprise,” and it’s just amazing how much talent there is in this area. Acting talent, writing talent, filming talent, you name it, it’s there. Anyway, I posed a question at some point on Substack, I guess. I did it on Patreon, too, I think. About what is it that you would like me to provide?

What are you looking for? What sort of things do you feel you need to know more about in general? Do you want more bonus content for my podcast? Do you want me to provide advice? I’ve got decades of experience at this point with writing and with dealing with the whole publishing world and dealing now with the filmmaking world, which are very interesting and different. But anyway, be that as it may.
