This is a video I made yesterday, which is when I usually make videos. Anyhow, it’s about my continuing battle with clutter and piles of old books attempts to organize my office and save my heirs a shit ton of work when I’m no longer around.
Hello? Yeah, today I don’t have a review as such, although I am going to mention a book. I’m just going to read from the journal entry I made yesterday, which is Sunday, which is my “offline” day, so to speak, in the sense that really, I don’t do any business online. I do nothing more than, say, watch a movie or a TV show, or in one case answer a trivia quiz. I do that for Paul, just to say hello. Just to let him know I’m still out there. Anyway, Paul is a blogger, great guy, really nice guy. Even met him. He’s in England. I’m not at the moment. Anyway, okay, here I am.
Hi. Well, gosh, it’s hard to know what to talk about because so much is going on right now. I just found out that the 10th Wave is going to be screening our short films. Assuming I can get it done in time, mine will be one of them on, I think it’s December 6th. Let me take a look at that and double check that and see if that was actually the case. I hope you’ll excuse me while I do this. I’m flipping through my emails here. Where is the email? Here it is. “We will be screening films at the Parkway Theater on Saturday, December 6th. So do you think you will have your film ‘Absolution’ fully edited and ready to screen by then? If so, can you get it to me by Thursday, December 4th?” That’s a very good question.
Bob Saenz’s book, That’s Not The Way It Works: A No Nonsense Guide to The Craft and Business of Screenwriting, is highly recommended for aspiring screenwriters and writers in general.
